Yes, this should work outdoors even in the Florida sun.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The problem with your plan is not only the heat but also moisture. I'm thinking one 25 foot cable won't be long enough for your project. If you have two or more you'll have to connect those cables . Even taping over the connections will still allow moisture to invade over time. Installer pros will staple the cable under the soffitt and take it around the house.
