Does not work had to return it for a refund
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To my understanding these units amplify the incoming signal with the help of an external power supply and push that stronger signal back out of the unit. Unfortunately it amplifies everything that is inbound, so if you have line noise due to damaged wiring or a really long cable run with substandard connections or incorrect sized wires, you will also amplify the garbage signals as well. Sometimes I have seen these units work well if they are placed more toward the leading edge of a long run rather than later when the line noise is too much. Hope that helps some.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on where you connected it in your house. I have it coming straight off the connection to my antenna and boosting the signal to the coax which is coming out of one of my wall plates. I get all the same channels no matter where I am in my house. I have a 3700 sq ft house to give you a reference
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It all depends on the antenna you use and how you aim the antenna. First search for https://www.antennasdirect.com and see what is recommended by your zip code and it will tell you what type of antenna you can use. I did not, I repeat did not choose what they recommended, because normally it sponsors their advertisement. I chose the CLEARSTREAM 2V, or you could elect the CLEARSTREAM 4V. Rocketfish amplifier is only as good as the antenna you have bought and how it is aimed. I picked up as many as 20 to 40 channels when I was just using the rabbit ears - depending on what part of the house you are in makes a big difference. With the proper Antenna, I now have 66 channels - all with great clarity, as good as my cable TV's I have. Do a separate review on Antennas for a starter and see what you think. I read all the reviews - and CLEARSTREAM 2V just happened to be one of the best. I did the antenna review first - then the reviews recommended the use of an 4/1 Amplifier. The Amplifier must be plugged in to an electrical outlet or you will get bad results or less than what you got with the rabbit ears. My CLEARSTREAM 2V is mounted in the attic. Antenna is your main concern. Get the right one. Aim It. Amplify it, and down load the channels on your TV or Digital Converter boxes.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Sure do. It needs a good signal to start with, then boosts it before splitting it up to send to different rooms and/or TVs. A weak signal needs to be boosted at the antenna itself. I used a Winegard Boost XT, and it fixed my problem.
