The spec's show that the mount will hold a 100 lbs and the TV is 86.8 lbs without the stand. It is a very versatile mount which gives you multiple options for TV viewing. The wall strength concerned me as much as the mount. The mount must be securely mounted to the studs. I followed the instructions and my 75" Samsung Q70R Series 8 TV is mounted. Best Buy is saying 100 lbs. on the spec sheet. When I bought it, the specs from the manufacturer showed 133 lbs. The scary part of the mounting is that the TV is mounted by sliding it over the bracket and it clicks into place. The TV is supported by the mount at only one point. It is beautiful, and very versatile.
