“What is the measurement of the bracket which attaches to the wall? WE need to cut out a area on our stone fireplace and want it to be as small as possible.”

The bracket should be able to go over the stone.Not sure if I would cut stone or install above a fireplace though.Doesn't sound like a good place due to heat.
