I have timewarner and through the app I am able to watch tv via Internet. Roku is like Netflix to a degree you just add apps to the things you want to watch. If you have cable certain channels need a code for them to be watched via Roku. I hope that helps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are a few apps that allow live TV. The one we use is Sling TV. $20/month with no contract allows you to watch LIVE CNN, Disney, Lifetime, HGTV, ESPN, etc. The Roku itself has a few free live channels for news and weather. Check out Sling TV to complement the Roku 3!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought a Tablo device and an anplified antenna. Once I bought the Tablo and set it up, I was able to add the channel to my Roku channels and stream through that way. The antenna only provides the local broadcast channels (about a 100 mile diameter). Tablo comes in 2-channel or 4-channel depending on how many TVs you have. The Tablo also allows you to stream the antenna broadcast to multiple TVs/Rokus in the house wirelessly. You can check it out at www.tablotv.com. The Tablo will also let you record local channels if you connect a hard drive to the internal USB. Good luck.
