• Yes! There is a pencil slot on the left side of the tablet opposite of the charging magnet.

• There is a place to hold the pencil on both sizes of the ipad. A pocket on the left side and an indent on the right side to place the pencil. But if you place your 2nd gen pencil on the ride side it won't charge because of the plastic of the case between the pencil and ipad.
