“Will this work for a phone call? I am looking for something to capture a speakers voice at an event for those listening in through a conference call. Could the speaker use this as the audio for being on the conference call?”

It is not the best for that. I had a lot of interference with mine honestly. I recommend the Rode Mic Wireless Go. If you are recording a person this is great. For recording a phone call clearly I’d recommend a Tascam combo or another way to do it.
