A:AnswerThanks for your interest, Lcn. The MC17J8000CS is designed to be installed over a range or counter where it can be attached to both a cabinet above it and the wall behind it. Resting it on top of a surface is not advisable because it has no legs to support it, and doing so could damage the cook top lights and exhaust fan underneath. In addition, if the lights or fan were turned on accidentally, the surface beneath it could become damaged.
Samsung does have several Countertop Microwave models to choose from, including one that has a trim kit accessory available for a built-in look. Perhaps you'd like to consider the MC12J8035CT Microwave and MA-TK3080CT Trim Kit for this purpose.

A:AnswerThanks for your interest. Samsung has a variety of Over the Range Microwaves, some of which are available in White, but the MC17J8000CS is currently available in Stainless Steel only. White models include the ME18H704SFW, ME17H703SHW and ME16H702SEW.

A:AnswerMine came with the brackets to install. I would contact Samsung and they should provide them for you since the microwave ja under warranty. I contacted them for something else and they were very helpful.
A:AnswerThe door swings out 1.5". With standard cupboards, this is not a problem, since the Sampson base depth is 2 3/8" beyond the 12" deep cupboards. Simply loving this micro/convection oven. Been using the convection oven more than the microwave, but both work quite well.
A:AnswerJust got done installing it and if the mounting bracket is securely attached to the wall, the weight is no issue at all. The screws that hold it from the top are not supporting the full weight, only the angular, directional force of keeping it from tumbling forward. MUCH less force than supporting the weight like hanging it. Not a problem at all.
