Q: QuestionDoes this need/recommended to vent outside ? I’ve never had a vent or fan in kitchen. I get a lot of sticky grease above range cabinet. Will this resolve those issue with the built in fan? Do I need to vent to the outside ?

• A:Answer Yes, the ventilation is built into the unit. It can exhaust either to the top (default), or the back, or to the front (re-circulate back into the room). A single thin sheet metal bracket and mounting screws (toggle bolts as well) are included. You might have to drill your own holes in the bracket (as I did) so I could use the existing holes already drilled into the wall through my backsplash (drilling through tile is really a chore).
