• Hi Planemark, the subwoofer can have the bass level adjusted up or down at will. The best way to turn it off is to unplug it so it isn't constantly trying to pair with your soundbar. Thanks, ^Scott

• Yes, the subwoofer is controlled by remote. The sound is amazing. One of the better investments I've made.
