• Samsungfangrl - Yes, you can connect the HW-T550/ZA via HDMI to your television if it has an HMDI connecton labeled ARC. ARC is short for Audio Return Channel. Your TV remote should control the soundbar volume, since your TV will now see the soundbar as part of the TV. ^Cris

• My one remote works on both, but the soundbar remote is handy due to the bass controls, input, bluetooth button, etc.
