cooktop light Feeling pretty stupid right now, can't figure out how to turn on the cooktop light. There is no obvious "light" button/icon and user Manuel only notes that there is a cooktop light with high/low/off options but not where that button might be located.

It's not labeled, but press bottom left area for light and/or venting. Multiple settings!

Its located all the way to the top left of all buttons. It just says Hi/Lo/Off. You can see it in my attached picture.

The Hi/Lo/Off button in the top left corner of the control panel controls the light. You're not the first one to miss it. It's one of the smaller examples of poor usability that pervades the whole microwave. Another example from the buttons - what's the difference between the "Set Timer" button on the left and the "Kitchen Timer" button on the right? Answer - the one on the right is what you probably want, and the one on the left is a button you will never use.

That is the operating button. It's located under LED on left side. Don't feel stupid. It took me awhile also,

I was a little lost too but it is a button on the far left with 2 or 3 horizontal lines, this is the on/dime light switch

Hi Kpng,

The cook top light can be turned on or off by pressing the "Hi/Low/Off" button under the letters "LED" at the upper left area of the ME21H706MQG control panel. There's also an option to set a timer so the light can turn on or off automatically at your chosen time. For more information, please refer to pages 9-11 in the User Manual.

I THINK it's the top left-hand button. I see LED (which is difficult to read) then "off/low/hi" underneath.
