I am exchanging my same model refrig in a week and can relate to what you say. Mine hasn't' yet had a bad smell, but ice cubes are unusable and taste like a rubber hose. I also have noticed it being louder than when new (the first few days) and lately in last week, there is a high-pitched whine I hear on the right side as I face it. Personally, I'm glad I decided to exchange it while I still could as I think this thing is a piece of junk.
