• Yes it does. These are the network settings on my Mac mini connected to the display via Thunderbolt. The ethernet cable from my router is connected directly to my display, which shows up on my Mac as being an ethernet connection connected to a USB hub.

• I use a Thunderbolt enabled Windows laptop, and a USB hub that provides an RJ-45 port, commonly referred to as an Ethernet port. The laptop can connect, via cable, to the network using this setup.
