No flip up. Just the one that slides back.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought the 29 CF 4-DOOR FLEX CD W/FAMILY HUB a few weeks ago. I'm not familiar with the previous model so I'll describe the shelves in this model. There are 3 shelves in the main compartment of the refrigerator; each shelf is 18" deep and 33" wide making for plenty of space for us - no ice makers or filters eating up any of the space. The lowest shelf is the fixed position shelf directly on top of the 2 crispers so it's not movable. The highest shelf is a single piece of glass at a fixed position 6.5" from the top of the refrigerator and also cannot be moved, so that's a 6.5" high shelf. All of the shelf flexibility is with the middle shelf (or shelves since there's a right and a left). The middle shelf (shelves) has 2 possible vertical positions that the back of the shelf can be hooked into. We are using the upper of the 2 middle positions for both the right and the left sides, making our middle shelf 9.5" high and the shelf on top of the crisper 7.5" high. For us, this gives the best flexibility. I'm not sure if this is what you are asking but the FRONT of the RIGHT side of the MIDDLE shelf can slide back 10" allowing for a 14" by 8" cutout in the front part of that RIGHT MIDDLE shelf, so for that area, something tall can sit on the crisper shelf having a height more than the normal (for our configuration) 7.5" crisper height. The lower of the 2 MIDDLE shelf positions is 3" lower so if you were to use that position the MIDDLE shelf would be 12.5" high and the LOWER (crisper) shelf would be 3.5" high - that didn't seem too practical to us. The RIGHT and LEFT sections of the MIDDLE shelf can be positioned independently so you could have a 9.5" LEFT MIDDLE and a 12.5" RIGHT MIDDLE (or vice versa). Not sure how practical that is either.
