A:AnswerHi Kirk! If you did not connect the water line to the refrigerator, then you should not experience any leaks. Samsung does recommend turning the ice maker off if there is no water line connection. This is to ensure there is no internal damage from the ice maker trying pull water from a disconnected line. ^Jecca
A:AnswerWhat is your freezer temperature set at? You have to make sure the temperature is set below freezing, we keep our freezer set at 0. I found the following online from the Samsung Website: https://www.samsung.com/ca/support/model/RF220NCTASR/AA/
Ideal Temperature Settings
The ideal temperature settings for the French Door refrigerator are 0°F (-18°C) for the Freezer and 37°F (3°C) for the Fridge.
I hope this helps!! If the problem continues contact Samsung and they can help you diagnose the issue over the phone. If that doesn’t work contact a local appliance repair to have them take a look!

A:AnswerThanks for your interest. The RF220NCTASR has an automatic icemaker in the freezer compartment, but it does not have a water dispenser. The model you saw at Best Buy was likely the RF221, which does have this feature.

A:AnswerGreat question, Sandy! Since you have just installed the refrigerator, it is recommended to let the ice maker make ice for 1 to 2 days. Over that period of time, throw out the first 1 or 2 buckets of ice the freezer makes to ensure all impurities have been removed from the water line. ^Jecca
A:AnswerI'm happy to help with this, pattynor! If the light next to the "Ice Off" button is lit up, then the ice maker is actually turned off. To turn the ice maker back on, tap the Ice Off button; you should see the indicator light turn off. If your ice maker is turned on but you're still not getting any ice, I recommend following the steps in this link: https://bit.ly/3cNuG3H. ^Jecca
A:AnswerNot to worry, wayne, we're here to help! There are actually quite a few things that could cause the ice maker to pause production. The good news is, most of these causes are very easily resolved. Just follow the steps in this link: https://bit.ly/34Nf0t6. ^Jecca
A:AnswerHi Kyle! If you are using some form of external filtration system, or if you just prefer not to use the Samsung water filter in the refrigerator, you can simply remove the water filter. There is an internal seal that closes when the filter is removed to prevent leaks. ^Jecca
A:AnswerHi Donny! I checked our specifications (https://bit.ly/39PGpwl) and even with the doors removed, the depth of the refrigerator would still be over 30 inches. Because both the width and depth are larger than the doorway, it would not be able to fit through it. ^Jecca
A:AnswerI'm glad you asked, lara! Page 10 of the user manual (https://bit.ly/3ssgd3i) advises not to install the refrigerator where the temperature will go below 50 ºF (10 ºC). ^Jecca
A:AnswerThere IS no water filter for this model. I have same and fortunately, found a different and larger model within the timeframe for exchange. The ice cubes in freezer (which I wanted) continue to have a rubber hose taste even having dumped and refilled entire bin about 10 times now. It is so bad, it even ruins a Coke! The new model I ordered to replace does have a water filter inside the frig, but easily accessible, so hopefully, that will solve the problem. I wish you luck, but unless you can jerry rig something on your water line outside the frig, there simply isn't one made for this model. Customer Service with a company doesn't exist anymore. My husband and I ran an appliance store for 15 years and we'd have been out of business if we handled questions this badly. They could have simply told you honestly what I wrote!
A:AnswerHi JANE! External water filters are not specific to each model the way that internal water filters are. This is because external water filters connect directly to the water line, and are generally interchangeable. As Samsung does not produce this type of water filter, you can purchase one through any local appliance retailer. ^Jecca
