Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.My model is 2016-2017. Has 2 USB ports. Have not connected a hard drive to them. However, one is labeled TV/Camera and the other is HDD 5V 1A. May not work to play a movie from a hard drive. However the TV is computer comparable to display your screen from a smartphone, tablet or laptop. So it may be possible to play from your other device and use TV as display. Screen quality is decent for size and price. TV also has a LAN/Ethernet port and has wifi built in. Have tried Ethernet to router and used Netflix, streams fine.
