“Is there a sound bar or auxiliary speaker system that can be hooked up to this TV and the volume controlled by the TV? We've tried one soundbar (Vizio) that would only work with it's own remote. Really don't need 2 remotes to control one TV.”

The optical output from the tv to the sounbar or external sound device is a fixed level sound and therefore cannot be controlled by the tv remote.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We found out that our Comcast XFinity Voice TV control unit will control the volume in the soundbar. Probably not actually the soundbar volume, but Comcast volume. Ends up being the same thing for our use. Just had to pair them up. Works great! So, there is a work around to the fixed volume over optical. Sort of.
