Yes, setup is extremely simple, and you are guided through the setup of networking and inputs. Anyone can do it in 5 min or less.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'm no expert, but I can give you my thoughts. Any "smart" TV is able to connect to your home WiFi and access things over the internet. Generally this means things like Neflix or other content that doesn't require much input from your end. You can open a web browser, but I don't recommend trying to do too much in the way of surfing the web with it because the interface for inputting commands is to pick your letters individually from the alphabet using a TV remote vs typing like you would on a real computer. Laptops and iPads would be a much better route if you are looking for computer-like access. That being said, I am quite happy with being able to get Netflix on my TV in the kitchen, then moving to the family room and bringing the same show up on another smart TV and being able to resume where I left off.
