Sounds like remote to me, if you’ve still got a warantee then call them, if not then try a cheap universal remote to test. Once you’ve programmed the new remote you can determine pretty quickly where your problem is. Best case scenario is that it now works so your test solves the problem too. If the problem persists with the new remote, the. I’m afraid you’re in for a service call.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello NanaNa1, According to a BestBuy employee recently, this TV may be the newer of the Samsung Smart TV models sold at BestBuy. I got one for myself a month ago to upgrade from the older style Smart TV by Samsung. As an owner of devices from BestBuy and other stores, I try to consider different ways of troubleshooting before getting upset. Before we start... did you take advantage of BestBuy's protection plans when buying their stuff? It really saves you money in the long run to purchase quality items from BestBuy, as well as buy their protection or other companies' protection plans. It was good you changed the remote batteries twice, though I recommend you replace the remote. A new remote should not cost a million dollars, though I'm sorry you have to do it... Also, make sure you backup or remove all your data/info from the TV and do a complete factory reset of the TV (found in settings menu of TV). My experience along with multiple other people, is that Smart TVs (even the best) can be slow in their use of TV apps. Even when you have perfect Wifi speeds, apps like Youtube, Netflix, etc. may be slow or just not work. Sadly, you may have to look for a world-class provider like a television networks or try things like Apple TV, Roku, Firestick, etc. for reliable Smart TV apps without the slowness. A new remote with the recommended battery types, and a complete Smart TV reset, should determine whether you can be free of the problem or whether you need to follow-up with BestBuy or Samsung for warranty proceedings, etc. Moving forward? It is highly recommend that you buy a power surge protector for the wall plug that all your devices run off of. Insignia, RocketFish, or Monster power surge protectors will protect all of your devices from electricity incidents. Wish you well, tiko
