It does everything but play DVD'S. Then you would need just a basic Blu Ray player.

Each device would connect separately to the wireless connection in your house, so you could use the platform on the TV OR the Blu-Ray player to stream movies and view content. If both devices have the Apps platform, pick one (or both) and sign in with your Netflix and other accounts. Thanks for your support of Samsung products. --Mr. S
