“Can you adjust (or force) the aspect ratio from 16:9 into 4:3, on the HDMI inputs? I have a couple of old game consoles designed for old TV's in 4:3 aspect ratio, and they are plugged into an HDMI converter box that unwantingly defaults to 16:9.”

I just checked this on my television and, yes, you can set 16:9, ZOOM, Custom and 4:3 for the "Picture Size" options.
