“Can you watch this TV without being hooked to cable?”

• yes, I have this tv in a room where there is no cable, only internet. I have an external hd antenna I hooked up to it so the tv gets all the local programs free over the antenna. I get a total about 68 channels and do not have it hooked to cable

• Absolutely. There are plenty of free channels out there. Just buy an antenna. Not very expensive. I ditched my cable. One caveat, if you live outside of a city, say more than 50 miles, you may not be able to pick up many channels.

• Yes. You only need to buy a good antenna which covers a long distance. Thus, this TV will capture lots of channels.
