• This television will be able to connect to Hulu and Netflix. The HD will work with streaming apps, but to get regular channel HD, a cable box is needed.

• You have to subccribe to Hulu and Netflix. They are both on the TV. You don't have to have a cable package. I am using an antenna. Great TV.
