• The Samsung 40 Class LED 1080p Smart HDTV does have buttons on the tv to control its functions. However the remote is easier.

• Yes. You may use the buttons on the TV itself. Or access it, using your smartphone.

• I use it with my Xbox One and when you connect it as the Xbox tells you to( follow the Xbox instructions on the screen) I can use my HTC One to control the TV (like I was using an Xbox controller)
