“Is it worth the extra $100 to go from the 7 series to the 8 series?”

• Have owned multiple 7 series, wanted a larger main TV. Bought the 50” 8 series. It has been the least reliable in terms of backlighting. One side has gone bad in under a year. My 7 series are running strong with no issues.
