My house has speakers built into the walls controlled by a Yamaha receiver. This won't work for me because the receiver is designed to control the tv. Are there any receivers that can be controlled by the tv using HDMI/ARC? null

most new receivers have that capability. you have to spend some money. I have a denon  that has that ability. but you need to turn the tv on then the rest connects
