In my experience, the main differences between the two are: Gas dryers will dry more quickly than electric, the cost of using a gas dryer could be slightly cheaper throughout a month if used a at least 4 or so times, and a gas dryer is generally $100 or so more expensive than an electric. If given the option I would use gas throughout my house as i feel it is more efficient in all ways than electric (ie: cooking). Do not hesitate choosing the electric option as it still works wonders.

Gas dryers tend to run cheaper, but the problem is not everyone has gas hookups, apartments in particular. If you have the ability to use gas, I'd always pick that over electric.

honestly i dont know much about the difference . i believe they are very similar and what changes is the way they create heat to dry your clothes.if i am correct gas dryers tend to be bit more expensive.

Since we have an electric house, and before I had our home was fueled by gas. I feel that electric is cleaner and more efficient.
