Facing the front of the dryer, the DV393GTPAWR can be vented on the left side. It cannot be vented through the right side because of where the gas connection is located. Of course, it can also be vented out the rear (which is the factory default) or through the bottom. If venting through the bottom or left side you'll need the DV-1A vent kit to make the conversion from rear-venting. - Ms. Samsung
