This answer is limited to "saving documents." Have you tried Google Drive? Free download, I believe up to 15 GB including photos.

Please try again later.The Chromebook will use any wireless connection (aka "hot spots") available assuming you have login information or that the connection in question does not require a login or password. In short, the Chromebook will behave just like any other computer with regard to connecting to a wireless network. To save documents, some machines include an ability to store small amounts of files. My recommended option, however, would be to use Google Drive (included with Gmail accounts) when storing your documents. Doing this will ensure that your files will be backed up and therefore available from another computer if yours becomes lost or stolen. If you're concerned about security, just use good passwords for accounts and don't leave your machine unattended when in public places.
