Why does the card not let me download application null

This is a storage device and does not have any type of operating system. You need an operating system of some type to execute a program

Some downloaded apps are coded to be able to be stored externally to a memory card, some are not.

Hi, i am not sure. I bought mine for video to record my dash cam and works great. You may need to check the package to see if it is made for apps or just digital. I think (not sure) there are different types of cards for different uses.
