Be careful. That sounds like weasel wording from Samsung. They should be able to give a more solid answer. My unlocked Galaxy J337u (purchased at Best Buy) stopped working when AT&T rolled out 5g. Only the J337a (the version for AT&T's own customers) was on their "whitelist" of phones that would continue working. I was blindsided!! That's why I purchased a Samsung quality 4g-lte phone. It was supposed to work another decade after 5g was rolled out this year. I've been without phone service for 3 weeks now!!! My Lifeline provider (an AT&T reseller) blames AT&T. The President's Office of AT&T insinuates Samsung is at fault and accepts no responsibility for what they have done with the rollout. They refer me back to my provider, and now I have to get a new phone. My J337u was great!... Now it's become another paperweight! So much for the name "lifeline" service. (Guess the gamesters are happy that they can shave off a few milliseconds here and there with this so-called 3g shutdown.)
