My Verizon insurance carried over when I bought my new phone from BestBuy. BestBuy does offer you there insurance plan though if you want it. If you decide to go with Best Buy's plan, you may want to check with your carrier after the purchase and make sure they remove that from your plan, so that you don't end up paying double for insurance. There are pros and cons of insurance at a carrier vs Best Buy, do your homework and pick the option that is best for your needs.
