You can check your upgrade eligibility by pressing UPG on your existing phone. If Verizon confirms that you are eligible then you can stop at Bestbuy and the good guys and gals in Blue shirt and set you up with the device of your choice.

I haven't bought (upgraded) a phone at Verizon in about ten years since I found out I can do it through Best Buy (NOT a paid spokesperson for BB- LOL). I like their deals, customer service, insurance plan, and fact that I don't have to wait in line for an hour to be seen WAY better than going into an actual Verizon store. Everything is exactly the same as if I were dealing with Verizon (or any other cell provider), except for, you know, BETTER :-)

Best Buy was quick and effective in upgrading our new phones. The best part was that we didnt have to wait an hour like we normally do when we go to a Verizon store.
