• You will have to pay off your existing phone. Example, I had a S5 I was paying on for 18 months I had $125.00left to pay it off, but wanted the S7. So I had to pay the $125 off, then I got the new phone an S7, on a new payment plan. this was in July 2016 --verizon customer

• I had to buyout the contract on my previous phone in order to upgrade. I had the s6 32gb for about 8 months, was on the 2 year price plan, paid off the phone and purchased the s7 for a really discounted price at Best Buy.
