“Is there a regional lock for SIM cards for this phone? I've read in other questions here that it will work in other countries because it is unlocked, but I'm not sure if there's a restriction in terms of the kind of SIM card that it will work with. Thx!”

I replaced my AT&T chip with a German chip. Worked great and still had all my contact information, games, etc. Definitely the way to go, as I didn't have to use the ancient Samsung phone.
