The watch itself connects to your phone, so it isnt making the call on its own. While you can talk through it and text, it is still processing through your phone. Basically its representing your phone. So, if your phone allows you to make calls and text in India, I would say your watch should still function the same way. Just has to stay connected to your phone :)
