• Any Blue tooth signal. App for Samsung not needed. I use Audacy and Pandora apps thru my phone Perfect!

• Hi Hottoddy, Once you connect your smart device to the Sound Tower, your audio from any source will come through the Sound Tower. You can use the Sound Tower App, but you are not required too. ~Samsung Solutions
