“Is there any way to use Apple AirPlay with this device? To be able to stream music from a Mac to it? I have an an Apple TV device that I could connect, but there appears to be no way to hook that up to this soundbar”

Hook your computer up directly to soundbar with Blue Tooth. Apple play not required
