It’s not about power. It’s about the efficiency of the system and the acoustics built into the speaker. Samsung spent a very large amount of money developing the R&D for these speakers. The drivers are specifically tuned and allow the widest range of sound possible. In fact you may not even need a sub with this speaker. Depending on your set up.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I bought 550. Then replaced with 650. Then realized the built in sub wasnt much better. Bought optional sub and im very happy now. The 550 sub wasnt impressive, ( i had been using a polk system that was $200 and sounded better) but for price diff of 650 unit + opt sub you may be priced out 650. HDMI ARC is nice, and my kids can use it fine. Nice setup, but not cheap.
