“Can this be set up to do back-ups automatically ? I am looking for something to back up my documents and photo's on a set schedule like once a week. I bought a WD HDD and it was supposed to do this, but after many tries I cannot get it to work.”

I would think that your PC could do this for you like mine does with this drive.
