• You can store games but not play them. Current external usb ssd transfer speed is too slow for PS5, 600MB to 2000MB per second. PS5 internal ssd minimum speed 5000MB.

• Just to add on. I use this drive with my PS5 to store and play all my PS4 games. PS5 games can only be stored on the drive.
