What about password protection ? null

The software for that should be on the flash drive, if it's factory-new.

You are able to place the files you want to secure in the "vault" and use a password to protect them.

If I remember from my other San disk drives, there is some type of file protection preloaded on the flash drive.

you can actually set up the file to be password protected if you cannot get the flash to be password protected

As soon as you plug-in your USB drive, a pop-up will show up on your screen, it'll ask what you want to do, you have several options, pick the one that says view files, you will see two files on the USB if it is a clean stick, one says SanDisk secure access V2.0 and the other one is SanDisk secure accessV2_win you'll notice this one because it has a Icon of what looks to be a safe. the icon of the safe is your encryption mode, click on that and follow the directions and you will have a password and encrypted pictures files whatever you want. good to go! good.

If you follow the directions you can make it password protected. If you don't have them, call the Geek squad at your store and they'll tell you how.

It has a software enabling password protection of files in folders on the flash-drive...
