• if you would like to know exactly, contact the manufacture. It's not too fast because it's USB 2. And also it's a cheap device. But it does a good job. For a higher speed you need USB3 Or not satisfied yet? Get the SSD for much more $$$

• A theoretical maximum signaling rate(data-transfer rate) of 480 megabits per second....and approximately one-tenth as fast as a USB 3.0 flash drive. Your flash drive and your laptop or computer port must both be USB 3.0 to obtain the higher speeds. Older USB 2.0 flash drives will still work in a USB 3.0 port but at the lower 2.0 transfer rate. Likewise using a USB 3.0 flash drive in a 2.0 port will work but will not get you 3.0 transfer speeds either.
