I use mine on both my MacBook Pro and work laptop is Lonovo. I can transfer files on them and not need to format. No need to download anything too. I haven’t tried to use it on my tablet but I would think it work as long as your tablet can support external hard drives.

However, please note that you might not get optimal data transfer speeds when connected to a USB interface older than USB 3.1 Gen 2. Also, please be informed that we have not tested using our SSD Drives with Android mobile phones/ tablets, therefore, we suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your mobile phone/ tablet if you wish to know how to use an SSD with them if possible.
