“How big is the actual sd card and will it work on laptops?”

• I use it on my mac. It is a little less than an inch, about the size of the top half of a thumb.

• It isn't very big, about an inch tall and about 3/4 of an inch wide. It is the same size as a normal SD card. Yes, the card does work in laptops and computers provided you have a place to insert it.
