• The SSD will speed up your laptop by at least 35% if not much more. I would freshly load your OS and programs on the SSD instead of cloning.

• I presume you mean 250 GB, not MB. SSD's (Solid State Drives) are much faster than disc drives, no matter how many GB they are.
