the static is do to the station you are on, change the station to a clear broadcast and then use that one, in most citys most of the channels are coverd by radio stations and news broadcasts, you have to find the one that doesnt have anything on it, you can use just about any channel just have to find the clear one that isnt interfering with the devise

First you'll want to ensure that you're tuning your car radio to a "dead", unused frequency. Find a station that does not have an active broadcast and is preferably static covered, and match the frequency on the transmitter to this radio station. Your transmitter has a volume adjustment. Once you've paired and connected your phone to the Bluetooth FM transmitter you can turn and hold the Multifunction knob/dial on the face of the transmitter to the right (clockwise). This will ensure the transmitter's volume is turned up all the way. The loudest volume setting on the transmitter is 30 and you should see "V30" on the display of the transmitter.
