• Absolutely. You just have to format the drive to MacOS format by using the Disk Utility within MacOS

• Yes IF you buy the one that is for a Mac. They offer ones for Mac and PC and they are not interchangeable.

• Yes, you might need to format the drive and change the file system after you plug it in. Consider using exfat file system. I can't remember for 100% certainty, but I'm pretty sure by default the hard drive is set in NTFS file system, which is more aimed towards Windows users.

• Yes. It may need to be reformatted to Mac format, but this takes a matter of seconds with an empty drive.
