This is an external hard drive. You can use it to transfer files by dragging and dropping or you can back up the entire system. This will show up as a separate drive when plugged into your computer. Just drag and drop the files or make a folder on the external drive and drag the contents of the entire folder to the drive. It's very easy to use.
